"Dartsville wins seventh 'Best Short Film' Award!" (Sept. 3rd, 2007)
A fantastic homecoming awaited the Dartsville crew as they took home the overall Best Short Film award at the 2007 Central Florida Film Festival in Orlando, Florida. Hailing from the great towns of Woodville, Jacksonville, and Tampa, Florida - the WGF crew of Mark Riley, Chris Rice, and Tony West were thrilled to take home the top award at their Florida premiere. This marks the seventh 'Best Short Film' award dartsville has won to date.
Dartsville Accepted to a Slew of Upcoming Festivals (Sept. 1st, 2007)

"Dartsville makes history in Hermosa" (August 12th, 2007)
For the first time in the festival's history, a comedy has been nominated for Best Picture at the Hermosa Shorts film festival. That film is Dartsville. Dartsville also scored its second nomination for Best Editing in Hermosa (following Nikki West's previous nom at the WorldFest International Film Festival). The weekend also garnered Dartsville another technical award, as it took home the prise for "Best Cinematography" at the 2007 HollyShorts Film Festival (David Starks served as Dartsville's Cinematographer).
"Dartsville wins sixth in a row!" (August 6th, 2007)
The streak continued at the prestigious Santa Monica International Film Festival as Dartsville was awarded with the award for Best Comedy Short. This marks the sixth consecutive festival that Dartsville has taken home the top award.
"Dartsville Sweeps Playhouse West" (June 17th, 2007)
The stars lined up as films celebrating the works of Ashley Judd, Don Cheadle, Giovanni Ribissi, and Scott Caan highlighted the 11th annual Playhouse West Film Festival. But it was the small-town film about men throwing darts that was the big winner of the night. Dartsville scored four awards, winning the Audience Awards for Best Short Film and Best Actor (Chris Rice), as well as the Jury Awards for Best Short Film and Best Director (Tony West).
"Dartsville takes home Best Picture" (May 12th, 2007)
New Haven, Connecticut provided the setting for Dartsville's East Coast premiere as Dartsville continues its winning ways by taking home "Best Picture" at the 2007 New Haven Film Festival, the third consecutive festival it has taken home top honors.
"Dartsville strikes again!" (April 28th 2007)
Woodville General Films racks up another award as Dartsville beats out 1500 other films to win the prestigious Platinum Remi Award for Best Short Comedy at the 40th annual Worldfest Independent Film Festival in Houston, Texas.
"Dartsville's World Premiere A Winner" (March 4th, 2007)
After months of hard work, Woodville General Films finally unveiled their first production, the comedy short film Dartsville, at the Beverly Hills Shorts Festival. Six-hundred films entered. Sixty were screened. After the dust settled, Dartsville took home the festival's biggest prize, winning the Audience Award for Best Short Film.
"WGF signs Ball for Dartsville VFX" (November 3rd, 2006)
Fellow FSU alum Wes Ball (oddballdigital.com) signed on with Woodville General Films as the Visual FX artist for their upcoming film Dartsville. Ball's previous work is highlighted by a student Academy Award win for his animated short A Work in Progress.
"WGF tabs Dartsville as first project" (May 1st, 2006)
Woodville General Films has tabbed the short comedy Dartsville as the first film it will send into production. The story centers on a young dart prodigy who must overcome the jealously of his ruthless father after upstaging days before the town's biggest tournament. Tony West has signed on to direct and produce. The film stars Mark Riley and Chris Rice, who will serve as producers on the film as well. Ben McMillan will write the script. Production will begin in mid-June.
