In the summer of 2006 Woodville General Films embarked on its first production, the short comedy film Dartsville. The goal was to produce a showpiece that accurately represented their collective talents as well as providing a visual calling card to promote their feature screenplay based on the same concept.
When the dust settled and production reached its conclusion, they had not only achieved their initials goals, but had crafted a remarkable short film that sent a nationwide buzz across the film festival circuit.

Deep within the bowels of America's heartland resides the sacred 'Dartsville County Darts Championship'. A tourney so fierce that only those with hearts as cold as steel-tip darts dare enter it. In Dartsville, those who sling bulls-eyes reign as kings. To be crowned 'Dart Champion', is to become legend, and the hero of every kid's dreams.
That dream is what stirs the butterflies in eight-year-old Randy Newbower's belly the first time he stares down a bulls-eye. Here he was, the son of Frank Newbower, the greatest dartsman in town, and about to make a fool of himself. But as he lets the first dart fire from his grasp, a calm overcomes him.
Dart after dart zips from little Randy's hand. With each deafening smack into the bulls-eye, a prodigy is born. When the last dart is thrown, and Randy gazes on what he's accomplished, the path to his destiny is clearly laid before him.
But a boy's destiny is never easily achieved. Randy's marksmanship had shown up the one person in Dartsville he could ill-afford to, his Daddy. As good as Frank Newbower was, it was plain to the folks of Dartsville that he would never be a match for his son. As the catcalls shower over him, Frank bellows an edict towards Randy that echoes over all of Dartsville.
'You will never throw another dart again!'
Now a conflict rages, the likes of which Dartsville has never seen. A father's orders. A son's destiny. Somethin' has to give.
